1999-2004 Degree - Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum & Instruction from the Teaching & Leadership Department of The University of Kansas: Lawrence, Kansas. (Research on "Time to Teach" using quantitative and the Delphi technique for analysis.) Minor in Music - Dr. John Stephen's Chairman of Vocal Department.

2000 Experience -  Attended and performed in an intensive study of vocal technique as applied to the literature for active singers the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program of the Juilliard School of Music: Chianti, Italy. (The session was by audition only and consisted of repertoire from Italy, Germany, and France: the mornings were dedicated to repertoire from a specific country in the form of arias and art songs there was one morning session dedicated to Jazz taught by Robert Kopelson of the Juilliard School of Music; in the afternoons private lessons with vocal professors - Giovanni Reggioli (Assistant Director for the Met and vocal coach on Italian Arias) - Robert Kopelson (Accompanist at Juilliard and a teacher of American Art Song) - Janice Harper-Smith (Graduate of Juilliard, Assistant Director for the Daniel Ferro Program and a Vocal Coach for Robert Smith)- Patrick Visseq (from Paris France a French Chanson and Arias specialist and an accompanist) - Jan Philip Schulze (German Lieder specialist and an accompanist) - Italian diction classes with Alessandra Molletti; the evenings consisted of live concerts performed by the students throughout the Tuscan region.)

Soloist
Soprano in Elijah, (under the direction of Leonard Slatkin) Soprano in Messiah, Alto in Messiah.  Over 65 art songs repertoire in English, Italian, French, and German.  Over 20 jazz pieces mostly music from 30's and 40's.

Directing Experiences
Choral Mixed Chorus, Madrigal Singers, Show Choir (which I choreographed), Musicals - Sound of Music, Little Mary Sunshine, Annie, Honk Jr. and many church cantatas with set building, live animals, and costuming.

Artistic Experience
Oil on Canvas - Title of pieces: New Beginning, Unnecessary Rain, The Broken Reed, Morning Flower, Evening Begonia and One Must Learn the Ropes to Catch the Wind (A painting of an old sailing ship with all of its ropes. I painted this for my choirs in Neodesha to show them the importance of learning music theory.  It now resides in Dr. Lowell's home.).
