A WORD ABOUT QUALITY:

We believe in continuous testing throughout a dog's career, and only when a dog shows superior ability, desire and proper temperament will we call this a breeding quality Boerboel. Therefore, we do not attempt to place or sell 'breeding quality' puppies. We do not rely on subjective testing alone (appraisals) to determine the quality of our dogs, we prefer the time honored, objective method of putting a dog into service and seeing the results. Call us old-fashioned. The Boerboel is being overbred by too many 'Boerboel breeders' who do not recognize or utilize the working potential of this breed. Before you select a pup, see what the parents can do. A quality Boerboel must be a capable athlete, if the parents are not, the pups won't be either. Harris Boerboel can offer a very high quality young pup, but we will prefer to place older started pups after testing.
