Other Kansas Trails

***As a visitor to this web site we hope that you will take the time to read these words of explanation.

There are some misconceptions about the scope and intent of this web site.  We feel that the board of directors for KTC made a wise decision in creating a web site that would inform the general public about the the nature and activities of KTC.  We also felt that it was important to inform the public about the trails that KTC members and its volunteers have built and maintained over the last twenty-five years.  There was never any intent for this web site to become some sort of information clearing house for all the trails in Kansas.  No one is paid to maintain this site, it is supported in part by the annual dues paid by active KTC members and its primary intent is to feature KTC trails and activities.

However, the board of directors will  consider listing a few other trails that are outside the scope of our current responsibility.  We will do so with the hope and understanding that those who have a personal interest or stake in those trails will become active members in our organization and embrace the ideals and principles that govern our work.  The Council has been working on ways to expand our membership base and we would certainly welcome any number of new members from among those involved with other trails in Kansas.
