Elk City Lake - Eagle Rock Mountain Bike Trail

Trail Usage: Biking

Trail Coordinator:
Rocky Shire

The Eagle Rock Mountain Bike Trail is located east and north of the spillway below the dam at Elk City Lake.   The trail has two trailheads - one is located at the top of the dam at the east end and the other is located near the parking lot next to the spillway below the dam.  The Eagle Rock Mountain Bike Trail is a loop trail that starts and finishes at the trailheads.  The trail has three loops with varying degrees of difficulty - one along the river, one in the center grassy section and one on the hillside of Table Mound.

There is ample parking for large groups, and campsites are available adjacent to the spillway in the Corps of Engineers campground below the dam. There are also campground facilities at Elk City State Park, which is located about two miles south of the dam on County Road 4800.

Contact the trail coordinator for information about volunteer trail maintenance workdays.
