Mrs. Sheryl Fienen

Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Sheryl Fienen is the administrative assistant of Zion Lutheran School.  She is a native Kansan and has lived in Independence her entire life.  She began working at Zion in September of the 1984-85 school year as a part-time teacher’s aide for Kindergarten through 4th grade.  She also taught the 2-Day Preschool class for several years and began assisting the principal in the school office.   When the position of administrative assistant was created, she gave up the preschool and began working full time in the school office.

Mrs. Fienen's husband, Mark, has also lived in Independence his whole life. He attended Zion Lutheran School as did both of their sons. Jason lives with his wife, Shannon, and children, Tanner & Chloe, in Carl Junction, Missouri. He works for Sherwin-Williams.  Bradley and wife Anastasia live in Neosho, Missouri.  They have three children, Caisla, Cheyenne, and Jacob.

Mrs. Fienen enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, walking, and fishing.
