Kentigern
Saint Mungo of Scotland   Chris and Matt

"All this world may pass away, but love and music will survive" Old Gaelic Proverb

Father Charles

Kentigern - Saint Mungo of Scotland, a "Celtic Liturgical Folk Rock Choral Drama" presented in music, images, stage production and narration. The project portrays the life and legends of this colorful sixth century Scottish figure; these ancient tales are timeless, the characters are vivid and fascinating, and the stories have an intrinsic healing power, crossing time, space and cultural boundaries, a balm for wounds old and new.

Kentigern debuted on 8/17/02 at St. John's Church in Lawrence; it was very well attended and received. The next performance is February 1, 2003 in Lawrence (at St John's) with unconfirmed dates in Atchison and MacPherson. Future performances will include image projection and backdrops, and will be recorded for CD and DVD.
The finest qualities of art and music are those that enlighten and uplift, expose bigotry and hypocrisy, bring us back to the present, and unite the human family. It is my goal to capture those qualities that resonate with our own very best experiences.
