Be come a Red Cross Volunteer Blood Donor.
If you are 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health, there's a good chance you have what it takes to be a volunteer blood donor. You cannot have a history of hepatitis after age 11 or belong to one of the AIDS at risk behavior groups.
You can give another chance to your family, friends and neighbors who are hospitalized and in need of transfusions. Accident victims, transplant recipients, surgery patients and others with cancer and blood cell abnormalities are counting on someone like you. Blood comes from the heart... be a volunteer blood donor!
The next Winfield community Blood Drive will be held: Thursday, July 13th from noon to 6pm at the First United Methodist Church, 1000 Millington St., Winfield, Ks.
